About

Why operations, and why me

Most consultants arrive with a template. I arrive with questions, because the way your business really runs is rarely written down. My job is to find it, capture it and make it usable.

I've done the change, not just advised on it.

  • As Technical Director at PerVoice, I led a 16-person engineering team and a €5 million budget through a product launch.
  • At Manufacture Project, I drove the agency to become the first in its province to go fully digital, and founded the ReBuild Italia national conference.
  • At the Bruno Kessler Foundation, I led communications and digital transformation for a major research institute.
  • Through BrandAnimate, I've worked with King County Metro, Praim and TVEyes, where the platform's dataset grew 300% and accuracy rose from 85% to 95% in every language.

I know how to make complex work clear.

My background is in technical communications, editing and PR, including community relations for Superfund and civil engineering projects. I've written for AT&T and GTE and taught professionals to edit their own writing at the UN FAO. Clear procedures are a writing problem as much as a process problem.

I know how to bring people along.

I'm a trained facilitator through the Institute of Cultural Affairs. Capturing know-how means getting the people who hold it to share it, and change only sticks when the team owns it.

I know where AI fits, and where it doesn't.

My work in speech technology predates today's AI boom. I now help companies get their procedures ready for AI tools, and I've written on the risks of AI that tells you only what you want to hear: I coined the term "psychofancy."
